Adios

In June I will be traveling and also moving from this location. This has been a great house which entertained lots of friends and family of mine throughout this past year. Don't worry I'm not moving far as I intend to stay in Pelada. above shot is Tinis day dreaming on the front porch.

More rocks and dogs!

All is well in Pelada. We have our evening showers and intense t-storms daily. I often tell stories that do not do the thunder justice in this area. You must experience it for yourself. It shakes the earth. The above shot was me testing whitebalance to bring out the sand. Well it appears it didnt work but the rest of the shot came out well so I decided to keep it. This is the same little island in North Pelada near my house.

This is the reef at South Pelada. You can only access it at low tide. To the left not pictured is a small cave and white rocks on a almost pink beach. It's no secret to locals. I often see them fishing off the top of the rock in the furthest distance. There is also a left wave that breaks on shallow reef. I want to find someone to snorkel it to see if we might be able to surf it because it breaks really slow.

Flat reef makes for a creative shot.

This is not a great shot but I kinda wanted to give those of you who have visited an idea of where I was shooting from.

This damn dog doesn't listen for shit. Sativ taking a nap on the forbidden sofa. We lost her for a few days only to find her on the beach living like a champ with another local family. I can't say I blame her for the extended vacation, she was being fed chicken, chasing birds on the beach, and hanging out with the children. The family thought she was abandoned because we take her collar off due to skin problems. Either way our Hijo De Puta award goes to her this week.

Clay Swindell

This is my older and much dumber brother Clay on Time Team America here

Too bad I can't view it in Costa Rice but I am sure it turned out good.

Below is a flashback photo from when we were kids. I felt the need for captions due to the expressions presented.

Stupid pelada rocks.

Let’s face it sometimes life just doesn’t go the way you expect it to. The shit hits the fan and things get frustrating. Yesterday I had one of those days although it wasn't anything worth mentioning. The older you get the more you learn how and what to do to control yourself. For me it’s as simple as finding a spot watching the sun set with my trusty camera. This moment is often accompanied by a delicious beverage to cut the edge. This was my spot in Pelada near dark with an open shutter and drink of anis imperial. This is also the "secret left" in pelada during high tide.
